Professional Qualifications
I hold a First Class Honours Degree in Counselling, a Counselling Diploma and an RSA Certificate in Counselling. I have studied a number of different psychotherapeutic approaches including Clarkson's Five Relationship Integrative Model, Gestalt, Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I am currently undertaking study for a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Thames Valley University and hope to graduate at the end of the current academic year.
I consider myself to be an Integrative practitioner, drawing upon the major psychotherapeutic theories, as appropriate to the needs of each individual client. I have been practising for ten years and have experience of working with a number of counselling/psychotherapy agencies and Employee Assistance Programmes.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist and a member of the Assocation for Independent Practitioners (AIP) and BACP Workplace.
I regularly undertake further learning in the form of workshops and seminars, with a view to maintaining continued professional development.
